As she was born on October 19th 1984 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jennifer Lynn Barnes, or Jen, who’s now one of the popular storyteller has loved storytelling or writing since she was a kid. While she considered being a veterinarian when she was five, her love of writing took precendence over to need to heal animals. By the time she was nineteen, she wrote her first published book, Golden, during the summer after her freshman year of college.
While Jen’s writing is impressive, so is her educational journey. In 2006, she graduated from Yale University with a BA in cognitive science and in 2012, she graduated from Yale again with a PhD in the cognitive science. In addition, she was the Fulbright scholar at the University of Cambridge conducting autism research.
